Help With Planning
Over the course of 2011-2013 the New University Cooperative is laying the foundations for the inaugural campus of the NUC.
A synopsis of this work is below:
The NUC has developed to two phases leading to the construction of campus, which will accommodate a maximum of twenty students, and cost $1.5-$2.0 million dollars, including the donated land to the NUC. The first phase is entitled Phase 1: Pre-Capitalization, which began in January 2011, and includes the financial planning component that is being funded in part by the Cooperative Development Initiative (CDI), the Curricula Development Project (CDP), work on accreditation, a marketing campaign, conceptual designs, and formation of the academic council. The costs, excluding the CDP, related to these activities are approximately $45,000-$70,000.
The second phase of this campaign is Phase 2: Capitalization Campaign. This will involve a public donation campaign to raise the $1.5-$2.0 million that is required to build the campus. The NUC is confident that with the groundwork completed during Phase 1, we can raise the funds required for construction of the campus over the course of 2012.
